Teotihuacan—once one of the largest cities in the ancient world and home to the mighty Pyramids of the Sun and Moon—now offers a completely different kind of magic: soaring silently above its ruins in a hot air balloon at sunrise.
On this early morning, just outside Mexico City, the sky was alive with color and movement. Alongside our own balloon, more than 20 others drifted gracefully across the horizon, catching the first golden light of the day as it broke over the ancient site. It felt like floating through history.
This photograph captures a cluster of seven balloons rising in unison, silhouetted against the soft hues of dawn—a fleeting moment of calm, wonder, and awe above the ruins of a lost civilization.
