In the heart of Botswana’s Chobe National Park—a wild, unfenced sanctuary where animals roam freely—we set out on a boat safari as the sun began to sink toward the horizon. The air was cooler, the light softer, and the riverbanks came alive with herds gathering to drink and bathe.
As we gently approached a group of elephants enjoying the water’s edge, one majestic figure turned to face us. Its gaze—steady, calm, and full of quiet power—locked with mine for a brief, unforgettable moment.
The dramatic low-key effect was crafted later in post-production to reflect the mood of that encounter: raw, intimate, and timeless.
